No, I never go outside at night since the last of my dogs died. I recently took in a stray dog but he’s a Chihuahua. I felt safe outside with my Rotties. Not so much with this little guy.
Our politicians deserve to freeze, but of course they won’t. It’ll be the less well off who’ll freeze, especially as the government has just scrapped the winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners. Most British people don’t want to scrap fossil fuels, or at least they wouldn’t if they were told the truth about renewables. We don’ really have a choice, as all the main political parties support the green madness. The only party that gets it is Reform who will find it very hard to become the largest party in parliament given that the MSM constantly smear them, mainly because they tell the truth about the harm done by mass immigration of people who don’t want to integrate or adopt liberal, tolerant values.
Western North Carolina is devastated from rain and the hurricane. Many simply were not prepared and did not listen to the weather warnings. Incredible. If you lived near a stream or water of any kind, simply evacuate and get out of there. But no, “they” did not listen. Also, our weather reports locally were not that great with warnings. Non-local stations had more accurate reports, Anyway, many town are completely demolished by all this, and will take years to rebuild if ever.

The two large solar flares only produced a kp5, quite unimpressive. Cosmic rays dropped quite a bit and the was an electron spike to almost warning level. Boring. The solar storms did produce another hurricane now gusting 155mph at 6am Central time on 10/7/24. The hurricane is headed for Florida.

Hurricane Helene was also from a solar flare which produced the largest electron spike of the year.

UAH GT went up again to #2 spot on the chart. Nice here today warmer than ave 77F. Record was last year 82F from a solar flare.
